Team Zen – Champions for Life 501(3)c was founded in the year 2013, to enhance leadership skills and provide educational and competitive opportunities for deserving young martial artists.
We are honored to award Spring & Fall Team Zen Academic Scholarships for 2024, with the support of our valued sponsors. Our scholarships recognize youth members within the State of Texas martial arts community for their outstanding achievement and dedication to excellence.

Elevating Excellence
Our leadership programs empower young people through traditional martial arts training, competition and youth instructor development. The youth instructor training instills social responsibility and community connections.
A Few Team Zen Accomplishments Over the Years:
- Naska “Cowboy Up” National Tournament 2024, Austin.
- Nask Naitoanal Tournament 2024, California.
- Centex Open Tournament 2024, Austin.
- Texas Karate League Eagle Winners in multiple age groups and divisions.
- Promoted over 50 students from beginner Gold Belt to advanced level of 4th Degree Black Belt.
- Seven students competed in a National tournament as Team Zen in Washington, DC.
- Several students entered the National Junior Honor Society and gifted programs.
- Currently enrolled 5 students in the Youth Instructor Leadership Program.
- Sponsored student competition in over 10 tournaments.
- Hosted Swiss student for 6 weeks of training and National tournament competition.
- Co-sponsored athletes to WUKF World Championships in Europe.
- Co-sponsored athlete to TKD Inter Open in Costa Rica.
